活動休止中の人気グループ東方神起が日本でスペシャルアルバムをリリースし、大反響を呼んでいる。
8日現在、オリコンの最新（12日付）アルバム週間ランキングによると、6月30日にリリースされた東方神起のスペシャルアルバム「COMPLETE A－SIDE COLLECTION」は、先週1週間に売り上げ推定8万3798枚を記録し、3位にランクインした。また、「COMPLETE B－SIDE COLLECTION」も同期間に推定8万3000枚を売り上げ4位になった。
東方神起は今回の２枚のアルバムだけで、1週間に売り上げ17万枚近くを記録するという底力を発揮した。「COMPLETE A－SIDE COLLECTION」には東方神起のデビュー曲「HUG」のインターナショナル・バージョンを含め、計57曲が収録されている。
